The fields of computer science and information technology are dynamic and constantly evolving, with new frontiers emerging as technology advances. The frontiers in computer science and information technology represents a glimpse of the ongoing innovations in the fields of Artificial Intelligence; Augmented Reality; Biotechnology and Computing; Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies; Cybersecurity and Privacy; Edge Computing; Human-Computer Interaction; Information Systems; Internet of Things; Machine Learning; Multimedia; Quantum Computing; Software Engineering; Network Technology; and Virtual Reality. Researchers and professionals in these areas work to push the boundaries of what is possible, leading to advancements that shape the future of technology.

The International Conference on Frontier in Computer Science and Information Technology (FOCUS-2024) is organized by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya, Malaysia. The FOCUS-2024 is dedicated to address the challenges in the areas of computer science and information technology, thereby presenting a consolidated view to the interested researchers in the aforesaid fields. The conference looks for significant contributions to computer science and information technology in theoretical and practical aspects.

The conference will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The goal of FOCUS-2024 is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to focus on computer science and information technology concepts and establishing new collaborations in these areas. The event will be held over two days, with presentations delivered by researchers from the international community, including presentations from keynote speakers, industrial invited speakers, and scientific parallel session presentations.

The proceedings of FOCUS-2024 are planned to be published in Springer conference series (proposal under evaluation).

Introduction

Data Analysis with Pandas & Python is an introductory course to using pandas in manipulating data and gain new insights on our dataset. Python is a powerful programming language to do statistics and data science. The 18th KDNuggets Software Poll has crowned Python as the most used language in data science with 52.6% usage overtaking R at the second spot. On the other hand, Pandas is a powerhouse tool that allows doing anything and everything with large datasets – analyzing, organizing, sorting, filtering, pivoting, aggregating, munging, cleaning, calculating, and more!

At the end of this program, participants will be able to achieve the following objectives:
a) How to set up Python for data analysis projects.
b) How to import, clean, and manipulate data.
c) How to manipulate data in 1D, 2D, and 3D data sets.
d) How to visualize and plot data into charts and graphs
